Minnesotan Andrey Rudenko has 3D-printed the world’s first concrete castle in his own backyard. Rudenko started developing a 3D printer two years ago with the idea of building inhabitable homes that would withstand the extreme weather conditions.
This 161.5-square-foot castle he built is one of the largest objects ever created with 3D printing technology.
The castle was printed from 10-milimeter high layers of precisely laid concrete measuring 30 cm in width. Rebars were added into the bottom and top walls.
