Thought-controlled Planes May Take Flight

Researchers at the Technical University of Munich and the TU Berlin Company have developed a technology worthy of Star Trek – they want to control planes from a distance, through power of thought.

Thought-controlled Planes May Take Flight

Although it seems unbelievable, the researchers led by the professor Florian Holzapfel, managed to obtain the first concrete results.

In a video demonstration published on the website of the University in Munich, the experts show how they handle an airplane simulator controlled by a pilot who has a special helmet on his head, with EEG electrodes that measure brain activity.

The sensors take over the impulses generated by the brain and turn them into commands by using a high power processor and special software that practically translate thoughts into actions.
