The first “bionic man”, a robot capable of speaking and walking, created entirely from synthetic components, was presented on Thursday at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington on Tuesday.
The robot with a human face was created by the London – Shadow Robot in order to present in an original way a number of important medical discoveries with the help of artificial organs.
The robot exhibited at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington has cost $1 million and was built from 28 artificial components created by innovative companies in the biomedical field. These components include a pancreas, lungs, spleen and circulation system.
The artificial intelligence of the robot is limited to a computer chat program, similar to Siri application for iPhones created by Apple.
