From your hotel room, as you open the window you get to see one of the most beautiful urban panoramas in the world with skyscrapers and impressive buildings of Singapore. In the same time, the balcony is surrounded by waterfalls, lush greenery and the impression of a tropical forest vertically developed. Park Royal is the only hotel that can mix both.
There are numerous hotels with unusual gardens and fascinating indoor pools, but Park Royal on the Pickering Street in Singapore is really special. It was opened in January this year and completed by the architects from the WOHA office, on a surface of over 15.000 square meters of lush vegetation, pools, artificial waterfalls and vertically arranged terraces covered by tropical trees.
The vegetation covers 5 floors from the existing 16 of the U-shaped construction, being visible from all rooms because of the E-shaped form of the hotel. Park Royal on Pickering is more than a botanical garden. The whole concept of the hotel was developed taking into consideration the care for the environment and an atmosphere closer to nature. The building is equipped with motion sensors, light and water which reduce the energy consumption and ensure the collection and use of rainwater.
The fifth floor was reserved for the spa services of the hotel, a space for relaxation which includes an open pool on top of the city, a fitness gym and relaxation spaces under the form of bird cages and a 300 meters alley for romantic walks. The top floor hosts the Orchid Lounge, a club that offers panoramic views over the city.
