In 1934 a Dutch importer of American cars, was buying his first collection car, a Dodge from 1914. His name was Piet Lowman and his passion turned into the biggest private car collection in the world.
The museum includes the largest collection in the world of Spyker cars, and an impressive number of cars: from a Cadillac that belong to Elvis Presley, to a 1922 fire truck LaFrance Aerial. The museum has a surface of over 10.000 square meters and is structured on four sections: vintage cars, regular cars and luxury cars and race cars.
The museum owns also a section dedicated to a car-inspired popular culture which includes paintings, sculptures and graphic art from the end of the 19th century till now.
