Spectacular California Desert House by Kendrick Bangs Kellogg
The Desert House is a project that suffered a major transformation thanks to the architect Kendrick Bangs Kellogg. It is located near Joshua Tree National Park and it boasts an ancient yet futuristic design because of its array of cast-concrete slabs that cover the home.
Kellogg and designer John Vurgin needed a decade to complete this house after they were commissioned by the artist Bev Doolittle and her husband to create something unique and spectacular.
The Desert House is indeed a piece of art that doubles as a home, being both functional and fabulously looking, whether we’re talking about the parasol in the dining room made of 800 pieces of sandblasted glass or the master bedroom’s self-standing bronze washing basin.
This amazing project is priced at $3 million.
