The two things that Americans love most are fast food and guns, and they both can be found at Shooters Grill in Colorado, U.S.A. This place is a gun themed restaurant located in a small town called Rifle. Here, the customers that step the threshold of this restaurant are encouraged to openly carry firearms, as the sign on the door says “Guns are welcome on premises. Please keep all weapons holstered, unless the need arises. In such cases, judicious marksmanship is appreciated.”
The place is decorated in accordance with the theme, while the menu includes items with specific names, such as “M16 burrito”, ”Swiss and Weston grilled cheese”. “Bull’s Eye Grilled Chicken” and “Locked and Loaded nachos”. Aside from that, it is worth watching the waitresses shuffling plates of food around, while carrying a fully loaded sidearm.
Maybe you’re wondering if this business is legal. Well, it is because in Colorado carrying handguns is permitted by the law. Therefore, Lauren Boebert and her husband decided to open a gun themed restaurant. At first, the staff didn’t carry guns, but a month after launching the eatery a man was killed inside the place, this thing determining the owners to decide that the employees should carry their guns. Now, all waitresses carry different weapons, from Glock semi-automatics to thigh-length Ruger Blackhawk .357 six-shooter.
Lauren Boebert, the owner of the restaurant, says she encourages the customers and employees to exercise their constitutional right to bear guns. “We encourage it, and the customers love that they can come here and express their rights,” Boebert said. “This country was founded on our freedom. People can come in carrying their gun, and they can pray over their food.”[…] “There’s no point to be made. This is our way of life.” […]”We don’t worship guns. We worship Jesus,” added Boebert, “We’re here to serve people.”
The restaurant is extremely popular. People all over the U.S come here just out of curiosity and some of them even leave bullets as tips.
