In the beginning of his career, Roman Abramovich was selling plastic ducks from his apartment in Moscow. Today he makes transacts millions of dollars. So often and so productive that made him the 68th wealthiest man in the world with a fortune estimated at $10.2 million.
The story starts early in his childhood when he was much pitied. He remained orphan at the age of 4 and was raised by his Jewish grandparents who have inspired him the business spirit. At the age of 26 he entered the oil industry business and he took advantage of the privatizations in Russia. He then associated with Berezovski and things started to grow. During 1992 and 1995 he started 5 companies, in 2000 becoming the governor of the Chukotka district and in 2003 he purchased Chelsea Football Club. These are just a few of his hundreds of businesses, some more controversial than others. And, if we’ll never know how he made his first million, we definitely know how he spent it.
