Retired Boeing 727 Aircraft Fuselage Turned Into an Innovative Home

A retired Boeing 727 aircraft fuselage was bought by Bruce Campbell, an inventive engineer, a couple of years ago. He turned the huge 3-engine commercial airliner into an innovative home that is propped up on concrete pillars. The fancy house is located in a suburban wooden area outside of Portland, Oregon and has its own driveway.

Campbell lives in this plane 6 months per year and spends the rest of the year in Japan, where he is also looking to buy another similarly retired Boeing 747 fuselage.

He built his Oregon home on 10 acres that cost $23,000 when he bought them in his 20s and the plane cost another $220,000.
