Jaguar Reveals ‘Virtual Windscreen’
Researchers at Jaguar Land Rover have developed a technology that promises to help drivers to drive safer, with the help of a virtual guide that will be displayed on the windscreen of the car.
Jaguar Virtual Windscreen seems inspired by computer games. On the windshields of Jaguar and Land Rover models, we will see all sorts of useful information, from speed to road conditions and also a virtual trail that will help us obtain the best route.
The onboard computer will continuously analyze the data of the car, and, for example, when someone will suddenly make an overtaking, it will show us the trail we have to follow and how to action brake in order to avoid the impact.
Also, Jaguar Virtual Windscreen will offer us, marked on the screen, the optimal route to follow a curve.
On the windshield we will also see the road map and all sorts of other information, including updates on social networks, e-mails, etc.
Virtual Jaguar Windscreen will be released in the next years, the company announced, without giving an exact term.
