Mashpi lodge is a modern lodge in Quito, Ecuador, protected by the cloud forest in the 3,212-acre Mashpi Rainforest Biodiversity Reserve.
It is also known as the “luxury cocoon in the clouds“, being located 900 meters above the sea level, in the heart of the forest that beautifully blends with the waterfalls, the verdant hills and a great variety of plant species, 500 species of bird, hundreds of amphibian and reptilian species. Also, many animals, such as monkeys, peccaries and even puma can be admired through the lodge’s floor-to-ceiling glass windows.
The Sky Bike, which helps the visitors explore the forest canopy from above and through, can be found near the luxury lodge. The forest can be viewed from an insane height of 196 feet. It has seats for two people, and one has a pedal for pushing the bike along freely.
The Sky Bike at Mashpi Lodge is similar to the Sky Cycle in Washuzan Highland Amusement Park in Okayama city in Japan.
