After they had asked, without success, $80 million, to the Romanian authorities in order to cede them the Bran Castle, the heirs of the Habsburg family are trying, again, their luck on the international real estate market. They hired a law firm and started to search for possible buyers.
They even made public a telephone number (001 212 471 8500), to which Mark Meyer, a lawyer from the American firm Herzfeld and Rubin can be contacted.
“If someone comes in with a reasonable offer, we will look at who they are, what they are proposing, and will seriously entertain the idea,” says Mark Meyer, of Herzfeld and Rubin.
Bran Castle is visited annually by over 560,000 people, being considered the most attractive tourist destination in the Carpathians.
