Shanghai’s Film Museum is an interactive landscape of 15,000 sq m that embraced the story of Shanghai film. It was created by Shanghai-based architectural practice Coordination Asia and it has the purpose of connecting to people’s personal lives and memories. This whole amazing concept allows the visitors to be active participants in the story of Shanghai Film.
This magical place will share the story of Shanghai filmmaking, from its beginning in 1896 until present day’s 3D blockbusters. This museum is placed in a former film studio in Shanghai’s downtown Xujiahui and features 4 floors, over 70 interactive installations and a collection of 3,000 historic exhibits.
