After a disappointing year in Dakar, Porsche returned in 1986 with a successful trio in the Dakar Rally, made exclusively from 959 models. In other words, with the most advanced sports car of the moment.

Unlike the previous year, when all Porsches abandoned, in 1986, the three 959’s have dominated the rally-raid, obtaining the places one, two and five.

Renault B90

How crazy you have to be to participate in the Dakar Rally with a Fiat Panda? Very crazy, especially if you want to keep the original MultiJet diesel engine of 1.3 -liter. But, nevertheless, someone believed that there is enough power in the small thruster so that in 2007 it was marked the first participation in the Dakar of PanDAKAR team.

Although they abandoned, the team returned to Dakar in 2011, 2012 and 2014. At the last edition, the little Panda was set in motion by a 1.9-liter propellant that produces 172 hp.

In 1984, people from Christian Dior enrolled in the Dakar Rally a thing with six-wheel drive 6×4, a V8 from a Chevrolet and with a Porsche gearbox. The odd car failed to finish the race because the chassis broke.
