The Achilles tendon connects the lower leg muscles and heel. With the help of this tendon you are able to jump, walk, run and stand upright. The intense and continuous physical activity can cause inflammation of the Achilles tendon, a condition that is called tendonitis. Be careful, because the tendon can break! Treatment? Drugs or even surgery.
